Credential Verification & Trust Policy

1. Overview

SHEConnext is a marketplace platform that enables SHE/EHS professionals to showcase their credentials, certifications, and experience. Transparency and accuracy of professional information are important to the integrity of the marketplace.

2. Self-Reported Credentials

Professionals on SHEConnext self-report their credentials, certifications, licenses, education, and professional experience. SHEConnext does not independently verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any credential information submitted by users unless that information has been reviewed through our optional verification process (where available).

3. Optional Verification Review

SHEConnext may offer credential review and profile verification options to help promote transparency within the marketplace. Where offered, verification indicates that:

• Selected documentation was submitted by the professional
• SHEConnext reviewed the submitted documentation at the time of submission
• The information appeared consistent with the documentation provided at that time

Verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee of current credential status, or confirmation of ongoing compliance with any licensing or certification body's requirements.

4. Limitations of Verification

Credentials and licenses can expire, be revoked, or change status at any time. A verification review reflects the status of documentation at the time it was submitted and reviewed — not necessarily its current status. SHEConnext does not monitor credentials on an ongoing basis.

5. User Responsibility

All users — including organizations and professionals — are responsible for conducting their own independent due diligence before entering into any professional relationship or engagement. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Independently verifying professional licenses and certifications with issuing bodies
• Checking the current standing of any certification (CSP, CIH, CHST, etc.) directly with BCSP, ABIH, or other relevant boards
• Reviewing professional references and work history independently
• Conducting interviews, background checks, or any other screening appropriate to the engagement

6. Professional Responsibility

Professionals are responsible for:

• Representing their credentials accurately and honestly
• Keeping their profile information current
• Removing or updating any credential that has expired, been revoked, or changed status
• Complying with all applicable professional licensing requirements

Misrepresentation of credentials on SHEConnext is a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy and may result in account termination and referral to relevant licensing authorities.

7. No Endorsement

The presence of a professional on SHEConnext, and any verification badge or indicator, does not constitute an endorsement by SHEConnext of that professional's services, qualifications, or fitness for any particular engagement.
